Re: Purchase of new centre and sale of Old Sessions House

To:    All Shareholders and all Centre Users

Dear Sir and Brother,

RE:     PURCHASE OF NEW CENTRE AND SALE OF OLD SESSIONS HOUSE

I am absolutely delighted to be able to confirm that we have now received the necessary planning permission for the new Centre which enables our plans for a move to go ahead.     The appeal to the Planning Inspector has given us exactly the planning permission we need, which, coupled with the Premises License which we were granted some months, ago gives us all the authority required to run our business in the new building.     Moreover for those interested in such things I can also confirm that the planning permission is open, and not personal to Central London Masonic Centre Limited, which in itself adds value to your new Centre… Please don’t keep this good news to yourself but make sure that all members of your unit get to know of this it as soon as possible.

The move from Clerkenwell Green to the new Centre will go ahead as planned during the summer of 2013.     To ensure we are able to provide facilities for all our masonic commitments during the move period we are looking to a staged move.   This means  running down the operation at the Old Session House in June/July, 2013 and running up the new Centre in July/August, 2013 with the aim of being fully operational in the new building by 1st September 2013; we are not planning to ask any units to amend their meeting dates.    However, we may not be able to offer the full range of catering facilities during the “move period”.   We guarantee to fully consult with any unit affected in this way so as to reach a mutually satisfactory arrangement.   Full details of the exact dates will be circulated when they have been agreed.

In preparation for the move we will certainly need the full co-operation of each and every unit and I feel sure from my past experience that this will be forthcoming.    We have already indicated that heavy items are removed from Lockers before they are moved and full details of this and other assistance sort will confirmed to you as soon as possible.    Your Board’s aim is to make the move as easy as possible for all concerned and make the new Centre something of which we can all be justly proud, indeed the most modern masonic facility possible.

Your Board has already announced a further “Open Meeting” to give an update on progress and I remind you that this will be at the Centre on Wednesday 31st October, 2012 starting at 6.00 p.m.    I would hope to see as many representatives at this meeting as possible, so if you cannot attend personally please arrange for another member of your unit to come along

Finally, on behalf of the Board, I reconfirm the assurance that you will be kept fully informed as and when developments affecting our future occur, knowing that if we are to succeed we must all work together.

 Yours sincerely and fraternally,

Stephen M. Ayres

Chairman, Central London Masonic Centre Limited.
